I hitchhiked 14 miles from Battle Pass to Encampment, Wyoming with an older gentleman who wanted to discuss UFO sightings and the alian abduction of a local man in the 1960s. Let's just say it was an interesting ride.

Tomorrow I'll grab a pastry at the local coffee shop and see if I can't get a ride back to the trail at Battle Pass. The next time I resupply, I'll be in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. I met some northbound thru-hikers today in Encampment, and they tell me that the snow is quickly melting and I shouldn't need any snow gear to successfully make it through Colorado. This is great news!
